Teacher Bio
Professor Martins began her post-secondary education at the University of Mississippi where she completed both a B.A. Ed. in Secondary Education and a B.A. in English. After completing her undergraduate degrees at Ole Miss, she began her graduate studies at Mississippi College in English. She served as a Graduate Assistant for one year before being promoted to an adjunct the following year to teach the British Literature survey. She then completed a Master's in English in 2020 before being hired by DeSoto Central as the dual enrollment teacher. For the last few years, she has worked as an adjunct English instructor for Northwest Community College teaching Composition I and Composition II to DCHS students.
