Bio

My name is Alicia Wright Stafford and I am an Economics teacher at Desoto Central High School. I graduated from Southaven High School in 1991 and began college at Delta State University in August of that same year.  I attended DSU on a fast pitch softball scholarship and loved every minute of it! I taught at Coldwater High for the Spring semester of 1996.  I then taught at Southaven High School from August of 1996 through May of 2015 and at Hernando High School from August of 2015 through May of 2017. I got the opportunity to teach at Desoto Central High School and jumped at the chance!  My daughter Raegan is a 10th grader at DCHS where she plays on the Volleyball team and Varsity softball team.  As you can probably guess, I spend most of my time after school and on the weekends at the volleyball court or the softball fields and I wouldn't have it any other way!  When I'm not busy with school or her activities, I like to read books, run and listen to music. I am so excited to be a part of the Jaguar family!  Go Jags!
