College and Career Readiness and AP U.S. Government and Politics

 

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!

 

I will be teaching College and Career Readiness and AP U.S. Government and Politics. for the 2020-2021 school year.  I attended DeSoto County Schools, and I am a graduate of Southaven High School.  I have a bachelor's degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of Mississippi and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University.  This is my 13th year at DCHS. 

 

College and Career Readiness (CCR) is  designed to provide students with planning, resources, and skills to help them be successful in their postsecondary transition to college and the workforce.

There is no textbook for the CCR class.

Schoology will be the online platform for course assignments and assessments. Schoology login information will be provided the school. 

AP Gov will be offered during the spring semester of the 2020-2021 school year.  AP Gov students will be required to take online dual enrollment economics at the same time as AP Gov.  More course information will be available during the fall semester.
